Tableau 31 in atlas: Illustrations to Maximilian, Prince of Wieds Travels in the interior of North America. Indians on horseback hunting bison with bows and arrows. In 1836 Maximilian commissioned Bodmer to create illustrations to accompany the text of his atlas documenting their travels. These illustrations include 81 plates of aquatints.
