EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases a mesmerizing sea picture, believed to be taken off the coast of St Ives in Cornwall around 1925. The image was captured by Major Arthur William Gill, a renowned Cornishman and passionate amateur photographer. Major Gill was widely recognized during the 1920s and 1930s for his exceptional presentations of both still photographs and cine films to various esteemed groups such as The Royal Institution of Cornwall, Royal Cornwall Polytechnic Society, and the London Cornish Society.
