The history of hairdressing was told in a series of models of fashions in dress and hair wear through the ages at a great hairdressing contest which took place at the Lyons Corner House, Coventry Street, London. The greatest artists of the worlds hairdressing profession competed for a Gold Cup offered for the best model. It was won by Mr Alfred Balbus of Hammersmith, Lonodn, for the third year in succession.
